About the Journal

Aims and Scope

TRENDINOMICS is a scientific journal edited by the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon through the Economic Research Center of Faculty of Economic, with open access, semmi-annual and continuous publication. It aims to publish short and original articles of high academic rigor in Spanish or English, focused on economics and related fields, using a robust econometric methodology supporting an interesting and innovative research question. All researchers can send their articles, and young researchers and graduate students are especially invited to submit their work. The objective of this journal is to contribute to the dissemination and dissemination of knowledge on current economic issues of interest to the scientific community, primarily Latin American countries and Mexico, without neglecting to consider other geographical latitudes or theoretical-methodological contributions of relevance. The editors will work under the premise of complying with the publication process within a period of no more than three months from the date of receipt of the article.

 

Peer-review process

TRENDINOMICS is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. Once the articles are reviewed by the editor, a member of the editorial board, or another competent authority and their suitability is assessed, they are subject to anonymous peer review by independent and anonymous expert referees.

The possible outcomes of the peer review process are:

1. Accepted.

2. Accepted with modifications.

3. Rejected.

 

Open Access Policy

TRENDINOMICS is an open, free, and immediate access journal, considering that free public access to quality scientific research favors the global knowledge exchange.

Likewise, the use of the content published in the journal must give credit to the author(s) as the original source and the corresponding credits must be given to the journal.

The submission, access, and use of articles from the journal do not have any associated charge for either the user or the institution. It is strictly prohibited to use articles or sections of this journal for economic benefits.

This journal and its articles are published under the Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, so the user is free to use, share, and adapt the content of TRENDINOMICS as long as credit is given, it is not used for commercial purposes, and any derived material is shared under the same license.

TRENDINOMICS is open access. The entire content is free and available without charge to the user or institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or establish links to the full texts of the articles and use them for any other legal purpose, without prior consent of the author or the journal, as long as the content is not mutilated or altered and is cited in full, including the name of the author, title of the article, and the electronic address of the journal. This is by the BOAI definition of open access.


Code of Ethics/Ethical Criteria

TRENDINOMICS adheres to the ethical standards of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)

All articles received will be examined by anti-plagiarism software. In the event of detecting a high percentage of coincidence with publications not authored by the researcher, the work will be immediately rejected and we will follow the recommendations of COPE. In cases where the percentage is not high, we reserve the right to ask the researcher to modify the relevant sections, as long as these sections are not essential to the originality of the article.
